At first, the frog who landed in the water pot splashed happily and swam out easily. But the other frog wasn’t so lucky — he had jumped straight into the pot filled with milk. The walls of the pot were tall and slippery, and there was no way to climb out.
The trapped frog cried out to his friend, and soon the second frog leapt in too, determined to help. Both frogs tried jumping, stretching, and scrambling up the pot’s walls, but every attempt failed. The milk was too deep, and the sides too smooth.
As time passed, the first frog began to lose hope. Exhausted and afraid, he said,
