☁️💧 The Kind Cloud – Story
High up in the wide blue sky lived a soft, fluffy cloud. It floated gently with the wind, drifting over forests, rivers, and mountains. Unlike other clouds, this one was special—it had a kind heart. It always felt happy when it could help the people and animals below.
Every morning, the cloud watched the world with curiosity. It saw farmers working in the fields, children running through meadows, and animals grazing peacefully. Whenever the land was thirsty, the cloud would shower rain to make plants grow and rivers flow.
But one summer was different. The sun burned fiercely, and days passed without a drop of rain. Rivers dried, leaves turned brown, and the ground cracked from heat. Farmers worried that their crops would die, and children cried because their wells had no water.
The cloud floated above, heavy with a little water left inside. But there was one big problem—it had only enough water for one village.
As it looked down, it saw two villages close to each other. Both had dry fields and desperate people.
The first village shouted, “Kind cloud, please give us your rain! Our crops are dying. If you don’t help us, we will have nothing to eat.”
The second village cried, “No! We need it more than them. Without rain, our cattle will die, and we will starve.”
Hearing this, the cloud became sad. It thought, “If I give all my rain to one village, the other will suffer. But if I don’t help at all, both will be in pain. What should I do?”
As the cloud drifted slowly, it listened to the arguments below. The two villages began to quarrel loudly. Farmers waved their fists, elders shouted, and children looked worried.
The kind cloud whispered to itself, “Fighting will not bring them rain. They must learn that sharing is the true answer.”
So the cloud made a gentle decision. It poured half of its rain over the first village. Cool drops fell onto the dry soil. The villagers cheered as their fields turned green again. The children danced joyfully in the puddles.
Then, the cloud floated above the second village and released the rest of its water. The farmers smiled in relief, and the animals drank from the fresh streams that appeared.
Both villages were happy now. Their land was saved. But soon, the villagers realized what had happened. They saw that the cloud had been fair to both sides. Shame filled their hearts for having fought earlier.
One elder stood up and said, “Look, friends. The cloud had only a little water but still helped both of us. If the cloud can share, why can’t we?”
The people agreed. From that day on, the two villages promised never to fight over water again. Instead, they worked together, shared their wells, and supported each other during hard times.
The kind cloud smiled as it drifted higher into the sky. It felt lighter than ever. Though it had given away all its rain, its heart was full of joy.
And whenever children looked up at the sky and saw a soft fluffy cloud, they believed it was the same kind cloud watching over them, ready to teach kindness again.
🌟 Moral of the Story
True kindness means thinking about others, not just ourselves. When we share fairly, everyone is happy. Greed divides us, but kindness unites us.
