“Oh dear Crow! How shiny your feathers are! You must be the most beautiful bird in the forest. I wonder if your voice is just as lovely as your looks.”
The crow, flattered and excited by the praise, decided to sing.
As soon as she opened her beak—down dropped the cheese!
The fox quickly grabbed it and smirked,
“Thank you for the treat, dear crow. Remember, don’t trust flatterers!”
